Basketball Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Aurora West College Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Aurora Central Trojans 60-14. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maria Gutierrez Benitez was Aurora West College Prep Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points. Hilary Monge held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Andena Torres went supernova for Aurora Central, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. The dominant performance gave Torres a new career-high in steals. Anabella Lumba was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Aurora Central, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
