Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Jaguars vs. Flomaton Hurricanes
Hillcrest won the last time they faced Flomaton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hillcrest Jaguars blew past the Flomaton Hurricanes 80-57. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 406th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hillcrest was led to victory by J.T. Barlow and Jontavuis Lett. Barlow almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds, while Lett shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Barlow is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Dorian Watson was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Hillcrest was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
