Softball Recap: Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks vs. Greendale Panthers
Greenfield proved they can win big back in March (they won by seven) but on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Greendale Panthers out 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greenfield also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
For Greendale's part, Peyton Yoder was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Greenfield's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenfield will challenge New Berlin Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greendale, they will head out on the road to take on South Milwaukee at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greendale is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
