Softball Game Preview: Lake Washington Kangaroos vs. Shorewood Stormrays

The Lake Washington Kangaroos are taking a road trip to take on the Shorewood Stormrays at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lake Washington is leaving town to face Shorewood after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Lake Washington fell just short of Puyallup by a score of 17-15 on Wednesday.

Malia Donohue and Bobbie Hagerman did some serious damage despite the final result: Donohue scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Hagerman scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Hagerman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooke Gardner, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, everything went Shorewood's way against Holy Names Academy on Wednesday as Shorewood made off with a 15-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stormrays.
