Baseball Game Preview: Shadle Park Highlanders vs. University Titans

For the second straight game, Shadle Park will face off against University. The Highlanders will welcome the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadle Park is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Shadle Park's offense. They lost 7-0 to University on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Highlanders have suffered since March 28th.

Shadle Park got a good showing from Nick Stewart, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Stewart also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Highlanders are 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

University's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Shadle Park, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
