Parma extended their winning streak to nine on Friday, bumping their season record up to 16-2 in the process. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Homedale Trojans. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly four runs.

Parma saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesli Crockett, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Maya Jensen was another, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

As for Homedale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly four runs.

On Homedale's side, Ciarah Barnett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parma will welcome New Plymouth at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Pilgrims have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Homedale, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fruitland. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
