The Cougars enjoyed a cozy 38-21 win over the Scorpions on Friday for which the team can thank Garcia, who rushed for 132 yards and four TDs on only five carries, and also threw for 201 yards on 16 of 23 attempts. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
One reason for the win was Ventura's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Nathan Radwich with two.
