Soccer Recap: Governor's School for Science & Math Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Governor's School for Science & Math kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cheraw Braves. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The victory was the third in a row for Cheraw, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Governor's School for Science & Math will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lewisville at 7:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Cheraw, they will take on York Prep at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th.
