Volleyball Recap: Chardon Wins Going Away Against North

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mentor, Chardon was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the North Rangers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Chardon took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Ian Galati paced Chardon's offense, picking up eight kills. Galati got some help from Avery Laux and his 11 assists. Laux was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Chardon pushed their record up to 3-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for North, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Chardon is taking a road trip to square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Independence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
