Basketball Game Preview: Borah Lions vs. Kuna Kavemen

The Borah Lions will face off against the Kuna Kavemen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Borah has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Borah will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Rocky Mountain, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Borah was the clear victor by a 54-31 margin over Rocky Mountain on Saturday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Borah found their leader in sophomore Kya Davis, who went 7 of 11 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amayah Defares, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Kuna had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 45-41 win over Capital on Saturday.

Borah's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Kuna, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-9.

Borah didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Kuna in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory. Will Borah repeat their success, or does Kuna have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
