Volleyball Recap: Bronte Longhorns vs. Water Valley Wildcats
Bronte had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged the Water Valley Wildcats out 3-2 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Longhorns sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Bronte got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-16, 18-25, 15-8.
Bronte pushed their record up to 31-11 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Water Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 34-7 record.
Bronte will host Harrold at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrold will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bronte surely won't give up without a fight. Water Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
