Volleyball Game Preview: North Fork Miners vs. Montezuma-Cortez Panthers + How To Watch

The North Fork Miners will challenge the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in North Fork's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Montezuma-Cortez has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

North Fork will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Meeker, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Miners were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cowboys on Friday. The Miners not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

North Fork never let Meeker on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Montezuma-Cortez didn't have quite enough to beat Grand County on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Montezuma-Cortez actually scored more points across those five sets (105-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 21-25, 15-12.

Montezuma-Cortez's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for North Fork, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
