Basketball Recap: Wyatt Cornett Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Anderson Valley

After losing to Anderson Valley the last time they met, Tomales decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tomales Braves were the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over the Anderson Valley Panthers on Tuesday.

Tomales got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Cornett out in front who posted 15 points and seven boards. The contest was Cornett's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Erick Dominguez was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Tomales' record now sits at 3-4. As for Anderson Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Tomales will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Point Arena at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Anderson Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-18 loss against Kelseyville on the 19th.
