Baseball Recap: Viburnum Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Viburnum's offense. They fell just short of the Winona Wildcats by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Jays of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2018.

Viburnum has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Winona, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Viburnum has already played their next game (against Steelville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Winona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lesterville on the 21st.
