Softball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Arcadia Titans

For the second straight game, St. Mary will face off against Arcadia. St. Mary's will take on Arcadia at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Mary's is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

St. Mary's came up short against Arcadia on Monday, falling 9-2.

For Arcadia's part, Jane Ord and Olivia Baumgardner did most of the damage at the plate: Ord went 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs, while Baumgardner scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Ord a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Jenkins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Arcadia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive games.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Arcadia, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7-1.
