Volleyball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover and Bakersfield Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hoover had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hoover started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 23-25, 29-27, 25-22, 15-9.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Bakersfield Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15.

Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Bakersfield Christian and Righetti will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
