Big North - Freedom recap October 1, 2013

Passaic fell to Wayne Valley 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Aaron Draughon threw for 41 yards and ran for 30 yards in the loss.

Kennedy made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,483 from 10,828. The improvement was the result of a 32-29 victory over Fair Lawn last week.

Ridgewood's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jamal Locke threw for 85 yards and Doug Barnes had 85 yards receiving. On the ground Tim Bonanno chipped in 188 yards.

Bonanno was a passing and rushing force as the Maroons defeated Hackensack. Bonanno's favorite target this week was Barnes, who caught 2 passes for 85 yards.

Barnes was the best receiver in Big North - Freedom this week as Ridgewood bested the Comets.

Ridgewood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Maroons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Locke has thrown for 263 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Connor Van Caugherty has 4 catches for 116 yards.

Charles W. Johnson III's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Hackensack. Locke ran for 103 yards during the win.
