Recap: South Tahoe Vikings vs. Sparks Railroaders
The South Tahoe Vikings can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 win over Sparks. That's another feather in the cap for South Tahoe, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
South Tahoe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryder Tannaci out in front who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Tannaci hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai McClain, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Sparks still got an impressive performance from Adrian Banuelos Puga, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Banuelos Puga has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaoquin Tagulao, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
South Tahoe's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Sparks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
South Tahoe will be playing in front of their home fans against Truckee at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sparks, they will head out on the road to challenge Wooster at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wooster will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
