Jefferson had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the North Boone Vikings. Sydney Stovall was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Rockford East at 4:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for North Boone, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Marengo on the 20th.
