Daulton McPherson put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Tuesday. He struck out five batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has become a key player for Gray Stone Day: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

McPherson's effort led Gray Stone Day over Albemarle and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
