Basketball Recap: Bishop Sets Scoring Season-High Against Banquete

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop). They breezed by the Banquete Bulldogs to the tune of 91-34 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Badgers who have now won ten matchups in a row.

Bishop had a senior duo take command as Kristian Ramos went 10 for 15 on his way to 25 points in addition to six steals and five boards and James Garcia went 7 of 8 en route to 17 points along with six steals and five assists. Ramos' evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Miguel Valdez was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 17 points.

Bishop's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.4 points per game. As for Banquete, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Bishop has already played their next contest (against Orange Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Banquete will challenge Falfurrias at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Falfurrias is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
