Softball Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

Hillsboro lost against Godley back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles lost 11-4 to the Wildcats.

Laci Forns was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Valeria Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Hillsboro's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Godley, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-6.

Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Godley, they will square off against Conrad at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.38 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
