Volleyball Recap: Layton Christian Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Layton Christian Academy can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Richfield Wildcats on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Richfield was led to victory by Kendi Rollins and Jerzy Moon. Rollins had 18 digs, while Moon had 20 kills and 19 digs. Moon is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last 37 games she's played dating back to last season. Brynlee West also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Layton Christian Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Richfield, their win bumped their record up to 12-17.

Layton Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Emery on the 27th. As for Richfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Canyon View on the 27th.
