Baseball Recap: Morris Wins Going Away Against Dewitt Clinton

Morris came into Wednesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the DeWitt Clinton Governors a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The game marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season.

Esmil Collado looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Morris is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jayden Alvarado, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Michael Henrique also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for DeWitt Clinton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
