Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christian Academy). They walked away with a 39-30 victory over the Williamsburg Academy Stallions on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Saints : when they faced off against the Stallions back in January, they had to take a 28-16 defeat.
Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vanessa Lopes led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten boards and ten steals. Lopes continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayo Awe, who posted five points along with 12 rebounds and six steals.
