Baseball Game Preview: Leon Cougars vs. Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers

The Leon Cougars will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Leon faced off against Aggieland HomeSchool on Saturday. Leon fell 6-1 to Aggieland HomeSchool.

For Aggieland HomeSchool's part, Sam Long made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Long was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Long wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cason Meadows, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

The victory (which was Aggieland HomeSchool's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Leon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
