Basketball Recap: Alta-Aurelia Takes a Loss

After flying high against Whiting last Tuesday, Alta-Aurelia came back down to earth. The Alta-Aurelia Warriors were dealt a 79-46 loss at the hands of the Southeast Valley Jaguars on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since December 5, 2024.

Alta-Aurelia dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southeast Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Alta-Aurelia will head out to face off against Storm Lake St. Mary at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast Valley, they will welcome South Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Southeast Valley is facing South Hamilton at the right time seeing as South Hamilton is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
