2A Conference 15 recap September 10, 2013

Goldsboro's Rashied Malette rumbled for the longest rushing play in 2A Conference 15 this season in his game against Southern Wayne last week. Malette ran for 63 yards on the play and finished with 185 on the day as his team topped the Saints.

Goldsboro moved up to 201 from 260 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Eric Reid's team was able to make move up by topping Southern Wayne 42-14.

The Cougars' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nashir Bowden threw for 107 and 2 touchdowns and Taylin Davis had 41 yards receiving. Joseph Baker helped Goldsboro's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 29 yards.
