Softball Recap: Hampton Bays Takes a Loss

Hampton Bays lost against Sayville two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Baymen came up short against the Golden Flashes, falling 10-2. The Baymen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hampton Bays saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shea Egan, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Lillyann Maffia was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Hampton Bays' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Sayville, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Hampton Bays and Sayville will both be playing Islip the next time they take the field. The Baymen will host the Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Golden Flashes will head out to face them at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
