Kingwood is a perfect 10-0 against King since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m.

Kingwood came up short against Atascocita on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

While Kingwood ultimately came up short, they really made Atascocita work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when King took on Humble on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted against the Wildcats since October 26, 2021.

While King won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-21.

King moved to 12-19 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Kingwood, their loss dropped their record down to 12-24.

Kingwood took their victory against King when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
