Football Recap: Hopewell Blue Devils vs. Dinwiddie Generals
Hopewell extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by the Dinwiddie Generals 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Generals are ranked third).
Brian Moore threw for 67 yards and one touchdown. Ze'Vion Grammer was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Willie Brown rushed for 53 yards on only seven carries.
As for Dinwiddie, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Considering they have won five games by more than 34 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Dinwiddie to victory were Zion Boisseau and Joshua Adams. Boisseau threw for 276 yards and a pair of TDs, while Adams gained 137 total yards. What's more, Adams posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
