Basketball Recap: Avery Allred Key Part of Team Effort in Cowboys Win

It's playoff time, and Grantsville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the South Summit Wildcats by a score of 51-38 on Wednesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 71-27 win back in January.

Grantsville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Allred out in front who went 10-for-16 to rack up 22 points. Allred's big performance that afternoon made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kodee Williams, who posted five points along with ten steals and six assists.

Grantsville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Grantsville's win bumped their record up to 25-2. As for South Summit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.

As of now, neither Grantsville nor South Summit have any future games scheduled.
