Soccer Recap: Cuthbertson Wins Going Away Against Ballantyne Ridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cuthbertson). Everything went their way against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves on Tuesday as the Cuthbertson Cavaliers made off with a 5-2 victory. With the Cavaliers ahead 5-1 at the half, the game was all but over already.

The win made it two in a row for Cuthbertson and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two contests. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuthbertson will take on Lake Norman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Norman will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cuthbertson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Myers Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Myers Park's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
