Volleyball Recap: Fairfield Union Comes Up Short

Fairfield Union lost against Circleville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Circleville scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.

Molly Brown paced Fairfield Union's offense, picking up eight kills. Brown got some help from Laynie Price and her ten assists. Brooklynn Ash controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Kaylee West was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five aces and four digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Fairfield Union's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Circleville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Fairfield Union didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Liberty Union on the 9th. As for Circleville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Meadowbrook on the 11th.
