Basketball Recap: Tomball Memorial Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Tomball Memorial proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 24) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Klein Collins Tigers 34-32. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on five straight.

Despite the defeat, Klein Collins saw an underclassman step up: sophomore A'Niyah Harmon posted 17 points along with six steals and five boards. That was a full 53.1% of Klein Collins' points, marking the fifth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christen Campbell, who earned seven points and nine rebounds.

Tomball Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Klein Collins, their loss ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-5.

Tomball Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-43 victory against Tomball on the 17th. As for Klein Collins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-13 win against Magnolia on the 17th.
