Volleyball Recap: Lucynda Martir and Chantel Ramos Secure Win for Sports & Medical Sciences Academy

The Sports & Medical Sciences Academy Tigers got the win against the CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] Eagles on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-1, 25-16.

Leading Sports & Medical Sciences Academy to victory were Chantel Ramos and Lucynda Martir. Ramos had eight aces, while Martir had seven assists and three aces. That's the most aces Ramos has posted since back in September. Priscilla Morales also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Sports & Medical Sciences Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in eight consecutive contests.

Sports & Medical Sciences Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy], their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
