Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop McNicholas Rockets vs. Chaminade Julienne Catholic Eagles

Archbishop McNicholas is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will face off against the Chaminade Julienne Catholic Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Archbishop McNicholas will be strutting in after a win while Chaminade Julienne Catholic will be coming in after a loss.

While Rockets fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 victory over Roger Bacon on Tuesday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Archbishop McNicholas' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Ehlers, who went 6-for-8 en route to 12 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Ehlers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelyn Haucke, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Chaminade Julienne Catholic came up short against Lakota East on Friday and fell 54-47.
