Baseball Recap: Floresville Takes a Loss

Floresville was the 4-3 winner over Pleasanton when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Floresville fell just short of Pleasanton by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Floresville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coy Mainz, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Austin Beyer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Floresville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-9. As for Pleasanton, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Floresville is set to face off against their familiar foe Devine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pleasanton will square off against rival Uvalde at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
