Volleyball Game Preview: Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors vs. Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders

The Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors will face off against the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Andrew Jackson Academy sitting on six straight wins and Bamberg-Ehrhardt on 13.

If Jefferson Davis Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Andrew Jackson Academy, they should've done a better job of containing McKinnley Beard. The Warriors blew past the Raiders 3-0 on Monday for which the team can thank Beard, who had 17 kills, three aces, and one block. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 41 games she's played dating back to last season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-15.

Andrew Jackson Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Carrigg led the charge by getting 24 assists and three digs. That's the most digs Carrigg has posted over her last six matches. Kinslie Carson was another key player, getting three aces and two blocks.

Meanwhile, Bamberg-Ehrhardt made easy work of Barnwell on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-12.

Andrew Jackson Academy's record now sits at 17-4. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their record is now 13-0.

Andrew Jackson Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Bamberg-Ehrhardt in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
