Basketball Game Preview: Richland Springs Coyotes vs. Zephyr Bulldogs

The Richland Springs Coyotes and the Zephyr Bulldogs will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Richland Springs took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Brookesmith 86-49.

Meanwhile, Zephyr had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 71-23 win over the Mustangs. That 48 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Richland Springs' victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Zephyr, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Richland Springs and Zephyr were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but Richland Springs came up empty-handed after a 56-55 defeat. Can Richland Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
