Basketball Recap: Balboa Comes Up Short

If Balboa was feeling good fresh off their 66-45 takedown of DME Academy Regional on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bengals came up short against the Potter's House Christian Lions on Tuesday, falling 59-35.

Leading Potter's House Christian to victory were Marlyne Adahe and Kennedi Tatum. Adahe went 8-for-13 on her way to 21 points and seven boards, while Tatum shot 56% from the field en route to 16 points and six steals. That's the most points Tatum has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayda Parker, who put up eight points.

Balboa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Potter's House Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Balboa will square off against Jordan Christian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Potter's House Christian, they will take on Bolles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
