Baseball Game Preview: El Dorado Golden Hawks vs. Cypress Centurions

For the second straight game, El Dorado will face off against Cypress. The Golden Hawks will welcome the Centurions at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for El Dorado: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Cypress has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

On Wednesday, El Dorado came up short against Cypress and fell 4-1.

El Dorado got a good showing from Brandon Kubota, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kubota has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, El Dorado saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Renteria, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Cypress' win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
