Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bridgeland). They walked away with a 71-63 victory over the Brenham Cubs on Tuesday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Cubs are ranked 431st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bridgeland has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Brenham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

Bridgeland will take on Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brenham, they will square off against Angleton at 8:15 p.m. on Friday.
