Prairie Central won the last time they faced Beecher and things went their way on Thursday too. The Prairie Central Hawks were the clear victor by a 60-35 margin over the Beecher Bobcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Hawks have posted since January 14th.

Prairie Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abi Nimbler led the charge by going 7 of 12 on her way to 19 points and five boards. What's more, Nimbler also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Jayla Hammond was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Prairie Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Prairie Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Beecher, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Prairie Central will challenge LaSalle-Peru at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Beecher, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
