Basketball Game Preview: Houston Hurricanes vs. Randolph Rockets

The Houston Hurricanes and the Randolph Rockets will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Houston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.

On Saturday, Houston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Eleva-Strum.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Aubry Boldt, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Avery Kingsley, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Randolph ended up a good deal behind Blooming Prairie last Friday and lost 58-43.

Houston's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Randolph, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Houston might still be hurting after the 66-44 defeat they got from Randolph in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Houston was down 66-44.
