Softball Recap: East Marion Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Marion can now relate to. They came up short against the Nanih Waiya Warriors on Thursday, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

East Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Nanih Waiya, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

While East Marion had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
