It was fun while it lasted, but South Hadley's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Monday. They fell just short of the Monument Mountain Spartans by a score of 47-44. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Hadley fell to 4-1. As for Monument Mountain, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Hadley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethlehem Central at 12:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Monument Mountain, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Clinton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clinton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 220 points over their last three contests.
