Football Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy Takes a Loss

Randolph-Macon Academy suffered their biggest defeat since September 7, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators. The loss put an end to the Yellow Jackets' undefeated start to the season.

Bo Summers threw for 45 yards on two of five attempts. Chester Notewo was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.

Greenbrier Christian Academy was led to victory by Tucker Basnight and Tyson Moravec. Basnight gained 284 total yards and three touchdowns, while Moravec threw for 179 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 passes. Basnight has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last eight times he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Randolph-Macon Academy fell to 2-1. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Randolph-Macon Academy will challenge Fishburne Military at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they will face off against Southampton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
