Baseball Recap: Amador Valley Comes Up Short

If Amador Valley was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of California last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Amador Valley came up short against the San Ramon Valley Wolves on Friday, falling 11-2. The loss continues a trend for the Dons in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost six in a row.

Amador Valley got a good showing from Elliot De La Torre, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. De La Torre has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Amador Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for San Ramon Valley, their record now sits at 5-6.
