Softball Recap: Mapletown Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Mapletown was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Charleroi Cougars. The Maples were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Treslee Weston was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Mapletown dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Charleroi, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Mapletown will be playing at home against Albert Gallatin at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charleroi, they will venture away from home to challenge Southmoreland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
